It is difficult to come up with a per square foot number, because there are so many variables that come into play, such as architectural style, size of home and desired finishes. To achieve the most bang for your buck, you will want your team (architect, builder and interior designer) very early in the process. All three partners will collaborate to ensure a home design that fits your family’s aesthetic, lifestyle and your desired budget.

The short answer is, both! If you have an architect already in mind, awesome!! We’d love to work with them. If not, let us help you find an architect that fits the vision you have for your custom home. We work with some of the top architects in Colorado, and would love to help you establish your team early in the process.
Depending on the size and complexity of the home, a general rule of thumb is 9-12 months to build a truly custom home. It might be possible to complete a semi-custom home project in 6-8 months, but for a fully customized home, it’s safe to assume that the build will require at least 9 months. Another thing to keep in mind is that the architectural design and pre-construction phases prior to construction generally take a combined 2 to 4 months before breaking ground. At NorthStar we generally can complete a semi-custom home from start to finish in 9-10 months and a fully custom home in 11-14 months.
Our warranty covers all material and workmanship for 1 full year. Most of the manufacture warranties apply to the appliances and range from 3-5 years. A 10 year structural warranty is also available.
